London Airports

When we decide to go on a vacation, an important issue we have to think about is the travelling. In most of the cases we don't have a big choice but if you are travelling to London, then you have many options because the city has five international airports. We recommend you to make your decision between the two busiest of them: Heathrow and Gatwick.

Gatwick is famous with its great variety of facilities. There is a lounge for the leisure travellers, playing zone with video games for the children and a business centre. Let's not forget that Gatwick airport hotels offer the best service and comfort. The airport has two terminals and two runways, but the second one is used only when the first one is closed. It is leading in Europe for point-to-point flights.

Heathrow, however is the busiest airport on the old continent. With its four operating terminals and two runways, it receives 67 million passengers a year. Heathrow covers 12.14 square km and is located 22 km away from the central part of London. An interesting fact about the airport is that there is a multi-faith prayer room on each terminal and also a counselling room. In case your flight is late or is canceled you can take an advantage of some of the luxurious Heathrow airport hotels.
