Must-see Places in London

London is a hybrid city. It bears the memories of the glorious UK history. It also represents the modern side of England with all office buildings and skyscrapers. There some sights that every one travelling around London should see. Check out the several must-see places in London.
St. Paul's cathedral – it is one of the most splendid Renaissance buildings in London. Its dome is the second largest in the world. The cathedral dates back to the 17th century and has survived the Great Fire of London in 1666. One of the most interesting things to do is to visit the Whispering Gallery, and check the extraordinary acoustic phenomenon.
The Houses of Parliament – proceed westwards from Park Lane hotel and there is no chance to miss it. It is located in near the luxury Mayfair area. The Palace of Westminster is actually the highest tower with the clock. Big Ben is called after the commissioner of works Sir Benjamin Hall who installed it. Right of the Big Ben is the Victoria tower. British government established its headquarters there and has been sitting there since the 11th century.
The Buckingham Palace – this is the official home of the Queen. She was the first royal descendant to do so. It is easy to get there from the hotels in Mayfair area.
