Hogmanay

This year's Edinburgh Hogmanay is sure to be a festival not to miss. I have had the privilege of attending one a few years back and I still am able to remember it quite vividly. This New Year's celebration is one of the most exciting ones that I have ever seen in my life, and trust me, I have been to many. There is just something about celebrating New Years in Scotland that gives me shivers.
Perhaps it is the magic in the air, the warmth of the locals, or the abundance of great food and drink, I just can not put my finger on it at this moment. You must understand that this is not your typical New Years party. Sure, they have everything that you would expect to find at such a party, but they take it to an extent that goes unmatched.

They are celebrating the new year, Scotland's culture, and the fact that we live in a world that is full of so much wonder. Hopefully this type of celebration will catch on in other parts of the world, as it truly brings the community together. In order to take part i this year's festival, I had to locate a Murrayfield hotel that was still accepting reservations. It can be difficult around this time of year, since this festival is no well kept secret. Luckily, this particular luxury hotel Edinburgh still had a couple of rooms when I called them and they sounded quite lovely on the phone. This got me excited for my trip. I am sure that the fireworks will be amazing, the food out of this world, and the company in abundance. I look forward to meeting you there. You will recognize me as the individual that has the biggest smile on her face, which will remain there for the duration of my trip.

  1. A farmer travelling with his load Picked up a horseshoe on the road, And nailed if fast to his barn door, That luck might down upon him pour; That every blessing known in life Might crown his homestead and his wife, And never any kind of harm Descend upon his growing farm.
