Cambridge University

Established in 1209, the Cambridge University is the second oldest in UK and the seventh oldest in the world. It was formed by an association of scholars and has always been compared with the Oxford university.

The university is leading in Europe and it is a member of the “Golden Triangle” of the British universities, which includes also London and Oxford. The most preferred discipline in Cambridge is the mathematics, so if you still hesitate what to choose, you might consider it.

The university consists of independent colleges which have their own property and incomes. They are 31 and three of them accept women only: Murray Edwards, Newnham and Lucy Cavendish. The rest of them are mixed though they were originally all-male.
If you have already decided to study in Cambridge university, then you should know that supervision is the main method of teaching. There are between one and four supervisions for the students every week. It is considered that Cambridge has unique pedagogical system as well as Oxford.

The best way to learn more interesting facts about the university and the city as a whole is to go and visit it. You can book a room in the luxury Hilton Cambridge right now. As one of the best Cambridge hotels, it offers nice service and hospitality.
