Explore Aberdeen

The city was settled 8,000 years ago and is mostly known as The Granite City. It is situated between the River Don and River Dee and has the most beautiful architecture in Europe. Aberdeen is also important about the Scotland's economy because of the shipbuilding and the oil industry.

The best time to have a trip to the Oil Capital of the Old continent is during the summer. But do not consider that there are high degrees. Even in the months from June to September the weather is cold.
Aberdeen consists of both modern life and old buildings. There are many landmarks to see, and restaurants to visit, especially on the Union's Street. You can enjoy the great nightlife and the famous local whiskey around every corner.
The most visited place is the Maritime Museum, where you can learn a lot about the Aberdeen's history and its cultural events. Also the Gordon Highlanders Museum and the Union Terrace Gardens. There are two universities: University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University, which makes Aberdeen the educational centre of the north-east.
The accommodation is very easy to find because there are all kinds of hotels and hostels. One of the most luxurious is Aberdeen Hilton. It offers relaxing spa treatment and huge indoor pool. Do not miss the opportunity to become part of such a great trip.
