Union Terrace Garden in Aberdeen

Aberdeen is known as the Granite City and is a very important part of the Scotland's economy because of its developed oil and shipbuilding industry. It is better to visit this amazing city in the summer when the temperatures are higher. And when I say higher I mean that even during the months from June to September, the weather is cold.

If you visit Aberdeen in the warm months, you should definitely see the Union Terrace Garden which is situated in the heart of the city. They were opened in 1879 for the public. The land where the gardens are located is a small river valley. It is believed that this is a natural amphitheatre but it actually was formed later after the demolition of Denburn Terrace from the covered remains.

The park is a lovely place that attracts people with its peaceful environment. It is a place where you can enjoy one of the best architecture of Aberdeen as St Mark's Church and His Majesty Theatre.

When choosing a place to spend the holidays, consider visiting this wonderful landmark. A good choice for your stay is Hilton Hotel Aberdeen because it offers the most luxurious guest rooms and it is situated near the city's historical places.
