Visit Portugal

Portugal boarders Spain and the Atlantic Ocean. It makes it a perfect holiday destination. Portugal was a crossroads of different cultures, tribes, religions. This variety makes it popular with tourists.




There are many sites worth visiting in Portugal. So if you have never been there consider changing this fact. Let's start from the capital Lisbon. Interesting area, but quite hilly for walking. Fortunately, electric streetcars are a convenient mens of transport, to the relief of all tourists. Castelo de São Jorge is an enchanting place for castle lovers. River Taugus passes through the city, so why not take a walk along the river banks. You may even have a seaside lunch in the award-wining Hilton Vilamoura.


You should have heard of the famous Port Wine or the Porto. It is a beautiful old town at the seaside with Baroque style architecture. There cultural events and wine-testing ceremonies going on, so there I no other way, you will have fun.


Hilton Algarve is another fine hotel near the so called best beaches in Europe. The weather is mild all year long. The Algarve is a an attractive place for tourists from all over the world. Lagos is a town ear-by that used to be a Celtic, Roman and finally a Moors settlement. Forte da Pona da Bandeira is the fortress surrounded by the walls. Portugal was once a mighty sea power and those archaeological sites are the very proof.
